Lip Care Routine: The Perfect Luscious Lips

Updated: Sep 28, 2021

Most of the products and beauty promotions are focused on skincare with little focus on lip care. Lip care is not on everyone's mind but you can’t leave the lips feeling dry and chapped (Am I right?!).

Spring and summer is all about wearing bold and statement-making lip colors. This is also important to prevent aging in the lips, and who doesn’t love having soft, natural luscious lips?

I’m sharing my lip routine that will leave your lips looking soft and healthy in just few steps.

STEP 1: Lip Scrub- Gently scrub all over your top and bottom lip then wipe off. Repeat 2-3 times a week. I love the Bliss Fabulips Lip Scrub because it is cruelty-free and after just one use you will have the softest lip ever. Not to mention, the tastiest and best smelling scrub (cookie- vanilla with a hint of fresh-squeezed orange).

STEP 2: Lip Mask- Apply gently amount all over your lips and leave it overnight. Sometimes I like to apply a few minutes before starting to do my makeup. Repeat daily or as needed. My favorite is the Laneige Sleeping Mask because it is enriched with vitamin C and the next day my lips feels refreshed, soft, and smooth. Also smells phenomenal!!

STEP 3: Lip Serum- For full lips, apply a lip treatment with collagen; the more you use it, the more results you’ll see. Repeat every morning and night. I use the Algenist Liquid Collagen Lip it works great to soften and plump the lip.

STEP 4: Lip Balm- Apply throughout the day for hydrated and kissable lips. Repeat twice a day. I love the Palmer's Ultra Moisturizing Lip Balm because is so affordable, moisturizing, and does last a long time. In addition, it is enriched with Vitamin E and with SPF 15 which protects chapped & cracked lips. Another favorite is the Laneige Glowy Lip that works to moisturize and soften lips with a hint of pink.

Tips:

  • Drink More Water: Dry, chapped lips are a common sign of dehydration.

  • Stop Licking Your Lips: There are chemicals in your saliva that break down the skin on lips.

  • Watch Your Diet: Avoid excess citrus and/or salty foods, they can irritate your lips.

Are any of these your favorite products?
